Oh my gosh! My first ever blog post! The piece I am working on right now is a 10x10 inch stretched canvas that I first painted with watercolors. Once the paint was dry I set off to embroider the borders and other embroidery designs. My Aunt Lenie taught me to embroider when I was very young. She was an avid needlepointer and taught me many techniques. It was cross stitch that I ended up falling in love with the most, but as I picked up the needle for the first time in many years yesterday I feel my aunt would be so proud of me and the life I have created. With every stitch I make I remember her and know she is still with me.
